A New Year, A New Blog

With the dawn of 2013 and the narrow escape of Mayan doomsday prophecy, I have opted to join the blogging world with HutchinsOnPets. In this blog, I intend to discuss news, developments and trends in—and affecting—the pet and animal health industries.

For those of you who don’t know my background, I have spent the past 18 years covering these industries for several publications, including Pet Product News International, Veterinary Practice News, and Water Garden News magazines. During that time, I have attended well over 100 trade shows, veterinary conferences, and other events throughout the U.S., Europe, and Asia.

My focus now, and then, is primarily on the business of pets, veterinary medicine, ponds, etc.  My goal is to inform individuals that make their livings in those fields so that they may enjoy more success. I’d love to share, or more importantly inspire, some insights. That’s not to say I’m above going for a few cheap laughs, either.

This blog will not be comprehensive, but it will be timely, objective and relevant. And, dear reader, it will be interactive if you respond. Please do.
